# Why Carbon Gear Automations exists Carbon Gear Automations is a remote shop working with owner-operated trades contractors across the United States. It builds the back office those shops never had time to build: done-for-you systems, connected to the tools the shop already runs, and operated on an ongoing basis. There is no office to visit and no territory — the work happens over calls, screen shares, and the systems themselves. ## Why this exists Every trades business the company has worked with had the same shape of problem. The work was good. The demand was there. And somewhere between a lead arriving and someone acting on it, things fell through — not because anyone was careless, but because the follow-up lived in one person's head and that person was already doing three jobs. The usual advice is to hire someone. Sometimes that is right. Often it is not, because the problem is not a shortage of hands: it is that nothing is written down, nothing triggers on its own, and everything depends on somebody remembering at the right moment. That is a systems problem, and systems problems are fixable. ## How the company works Done-for-you, not do-it-yourself. Carbon Gear builds the systems, connects them to the tools the shop already runs, and keeps operating them. There is no dashboard the shop has to learn and no software it has to administer. It works remotely with shops anywhere in the country. ## What the company says it will tell you If they do not think they can move anything for a shop, they say that on the audit call rather than sell a project — the site says they would rather lose the work than build something that does not earn its place. The site also states it will not publish a number it cannot stand behind. Its stated position on client results: when one is published, it will be a real one, from a named or clearly described client, with their permission. As of this writing none is published. ## How they operate Lead with time — the point is getting hours back, not the technology underneath. Fewest words possible, in writing and on the phone. Say the uncomfortable thing early, while it is still easy to act on. No claim on the site they cannot show the working for. ## Who you'll be working with Three people. No account managers, no handoffs to someone you have not met. ### Stefan The first person you'll talk to. Stefan is a blue-collar guy, not an IT guy. Before Carbon Gear he spent 10 years in the automotive industry, working on cars and launching new vehicles, and he has watched good businesses stall over the things nobody was checking. He runs the first call the same way he'd run a shop floor: find what is slowing you down, keep the fix simple, and give you back the hours it was costing. He wanted the same for himself, which is why he left a 9-to-5 for this: more time with family and friends, more travel, and room for whatever comes next. ### Stefano Who you'll work with once the systems are live. Stefano's father was an electrician his whole life, and most of his family came up through the trades, so this is not an industry he had to learn from the outside. Before Carbon Gear he spent a decade running backup systems for large companies and fixing what broke, usually within a few hours, with a 95% customer satisfaction rating to show for it. He got into technology asking one question, how do you set people up to do good work and go home feeling like it counted, and that is still the question he brings to every client. He started this company with two of his closest friends. ### Evan Builds the systems and keeps them running. Before Carbon Gear, Evan spent over 10 years in IT for a large healthcare system. He started on the help desk, where most calls got resolved in the first few minutes, then moved to fixing things in person and building the systems behind them, at work and on his own time. He knows what an unanswered call costs, and he knows that most of the time a business loses is a process nobody has fixed yet. When he isn't building, he's reading, traveling, or out taking photos of nature or architecture. ## Next step A free operations audit that ends with a written picture of how work moves through the shop, whether or not they are hired. https://www.carbongearautomations.com/contact ## Not claimed anywhere on this site No ratings, no testimonials, no client names, no prices, and no response-time or uptime guarantees. ## Source https://www.carbongearautomations.com/about
